> Tried Displex on my P800 Screen :)
Bookmark topic
Hi guys, I actually have tried displex on my P800 screen and it worked great.
I had some light scratches in the area where I write most with the stylus and wanted to remove them before applying the brando screen protector that I just got from ebay.
I cleaned my screen with some glass cleaner and then took a clean, soft & lint free cotton rag, put a small (really small) amount of displex on it and started rubbing the screen with small circular movement, both clockwise and counterclockwise., being careful to rub evenly ALL the screen's surface.
I did apply only a very GENTLE pressure on the screen and went on rubbing it for about 3-4 minutes.
After that i cleaned the screen with another cotton rag and it looked brand new, the scratches had totally vanished!!! I then fired up the phone and tried the touchscreen: absolutely no problem, it works as fine as it ever did!
So I guess you can use it if you have light scratches, just be careful not to push hard on the screen while you rub it!
Remember that displex will remove paint from the plastic coloured parts of the phone's chassis if you rub it over them!!! Be careful or mask the chassis with some adhesive tape!

No, it's just that there was a discussion going on on wheter it would damage the P800's touchscreen and no one dared to try it.
So I tried it for the benefit of the community and I can say "Hey, what the hell, it works!"
Now you too know it.

tried this too on my p800. Id put a REALLY bit scratc in the display when a penny had lodged between the keypad and screen. Displex cudnt help

and smaller scratches take longer than 4 mins to ru away. nore like 4 hrs! Anyway, best to stick the screen protector on as soon as the phone leaves the box. If only Id known that at the time.

LOL, you're so funny people.
Don't know what to say, had LIGHT (L-I-G-H-T) scratches on my screen and displex removed them.
If you have drilled a hole in your display or scratched it with the tip of a sword or whatever then say to yourself: "I am a big DUMBASS!" and don't hope to remove it with a screen polish.
