Hi there...

i have a sony erricsoon P900 and i love my phone to bits but i come here in search of an answer or 2.
I have been reading these forums for quite some time now and i have come across many topics relating to "new Firmware updates.." and i think to myself..what the hell is this?.
I have come to the conclusion that SE release different things for the P900 and some of u guys says u can update your phone remotely???.
I am an absolute newb however and i literally have to be told which is left and which is right, but can some1 plz explain this update thing to me and maybe point me in the right direction of how i can do this to my phone?,or indeed,if i need to do this to my phone, and last of all, will it actually help my phone or give me anything extra???
My current settings on my phone are as follows
PDA software version:CXC162021 R1A05 030912
Phone software version:R3A024 CXC162022
Bluetooth software version:CXC12529 R5D
CDA version:CDA162003/5 R1A04

If some1 can help me i would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance. Titath
plz be gentle and explain in detail,im a newb!

Go to Sony Ericsson Update Service and enter your CDA number to see if there is a new firmware for your phone:

To be honest with you i NEVER updated my P800 and so far have not updated my P900 as i have not had any problems with any of the phones functions

For me the "if it aint broke dont fix it" approach works for me

However if you are having some problems with your phones functions then an update may rectify these problems
