> my T306 won't unlock
Bookmark topic
i have a se t306 from at&t that i've had for a while. i finally decided to unlock it, so i purchased a credit from gsmphonesource. i was able to log on just fine and got a nck code from them. i enter the code and nothing happens. i'm positive that i enter it exactly as it was given to me. at the top of the screen where i am prompted to enter the code it reads the following:
"Unlock (Net) 0", if that means anything to anyone.
is there anyhting that i could do to unlock my phone? i would really like to make use of it.
any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
tia,

Sorry to upset you, but from what I understand, you can only unlock Nokia's via remote, as in what you did. SONY Ericsson's and other phones must be unlocked directly, via cable and software connected to a computer. Sorry for the bad news.

Thank you Vlam. See masseur? You need a cable. All they do is send you the software.

well there you go. several people have told me they do it remotely but thats the first time I have actually been told, and now read on the site, that a cable is required.
thanks! I'll stop promoting them now (he said very embarrassed)

Nah, don't be embarrassed. Look at the website. True, it isn't in fine print, but then again, they don't blare the words in big shiny colors saying that you need a cable. They hope that some people will pay,
THEN find out that they need a cable. This is probably how they stay in business. Evil but effective marketing ploy.

well I guess they are still a viable recommendation as T28 cables are pretty cheap these days

i do have the cable, that's how i was able to use the software and get the nck code. but the code is not working. i read somewhere that att allows the code to be entered only once. is that true? i bought the phone off of ebay, so i'm thinking maybe the person who had it before me may have tried and that's why the code is not working for me. is there any way around this if that is the case. i would really like to make use of this phone. i've had it in the box for about four months now.

Um, do you have the terminator dongle? I think that you need a terminator dongle. Go
here to see what the dongle looks like. I have the cable and the dongle. I am not 100% positive, but I think that you need to have both of them. The white attachment is the dongle, by the way.
