Try getting Orange to sms you the gprs settings via

I had the same problem. Called Orange and the tech said to do the following -
Turn the phone off
Turn the phone back on
Remove the battery (while it is still turned on!!!)
Wait 5 seconds, put the battery back and turn it on again
Not sure of the logic behind it but it worked for me.

Hard resets the phone, rather than shutting it down and resatrting it

Hi all
I also had problems with Orange. Their "auto configuration" over Web sucks....however: I figured out, what is the correct settings for the P900 and Orange (in Switzerland)
Internet Accounts:
A) GPRS for Internet
--> Enter "internet" as APN adress
--> Leave the other values as default
B) GPRS for MMS
--> Enter "mms" as APN Adress
--> Leave the other values as default
C) GPRS for WAP
--> enter "wap" as APN Adress
--> Leave the other values as default
Opera needs the GPRS "internet" account, because Opera does not use "HTML-over-WAP", but an "HTML-over-Internet" Gateway only. My initial configuration was on "WAP"...so i could use the internal browser as well Messages, but not Opera.
To use MMS over GPRS:
IMPORTANT: You MobileNumber has to be enabled to do MMS (free of charge, however on mine not set by default)
Then check your "WAP Accounts":
Create Accounts as follows:
1) For WAP over GPRS & WAP over GSM/CSD (9600Baud)
--> Adress: 192.168.10.2 Port: 9201
2) For MMS over GPRS
--> InternetAccount: "GPRS for MMS"
--> Adress: 192.168.151.2 Port:9201
At last: Under "Message Accounts" -> MMS Tab -->
MMS Servicecenter =
http://192.168.151.3:8002/
--> Use "MMS over GPRS" Wap Account just configured
--------------
I did not mention the "GSM"/dialup configurations, because it contains swiss mobile-numbers, which will certainly work for you, but could generate huge costs, if used (interconnection/foreign calls).
Hope that helps a little bit. You can use Orange with all services,....however: Customer Service sucks and Auto-Configurations too....
Good luck

Don't think its just Orange, I am having the same problem with Vodafone. Just an idea but I think it may well have something to do with Orange and Vodafone beginning work on upgrading there base stations for 3G.
