> Changing sounds in instant symbian nsm

Ive been tryin to change the notification sounds in instant symbian nsm to something a bit funkier. Ive tried converting wav files to au files and replacing buddy.au and message.au with my own converted au files. But so far have had no success; the sounds just wont be played for some reason. For example, my new message.au file is a converted wav and is only about 8k in size. It does however, have a sampling rate of 44khz, and ive been able to get it working when i reduce the sampling to 8khz, but then the sound is really garbled and distorted. Has anyone any words of wisdom for me on how i can get replacement sounds working in this application?
