> Easy way to access hidden emoticons in T610/Z600
Bookmark topic
Hello,
I was playing around with my Z600 today trying to access the hidden smilies on it, and found a way to put the symbols in the user dictionary, removing all that hassle with bookmarks. I assume this works for the T610 also, but it'd be great if someone with that phone could confirm it for me please.
Here's what I did-
Choose "Internet services" from the main menu
Press "More" then choose "Bookmarks"
Select "New bookmark" and type in anything for the title, it doesn't matter.
When prompted for the address, type :-[ (all those symbols can be accessed by pressing 1) and then :-]
You should now have a frowning face and a grinning face displayed on the screen.
Press "Ok"
Scroll down the Bookmarks menu to the new bookmark you just added and press "More"
Select "Send as text msg"
You'll now be taken to the SMS editor, and your emoticons will be displayed with http:// in front of them.
Press the left arrow on either the joystick or direction keys (depending on having a T610 or Z600 of course).
Now the grinning face should be underlined, and the left softkey should have changed to "Spell word".
Press "Spell word"
There should be a solitary ] displayed in the spell word window, so complete the emoticon again by typing a :- before it. (So you should have :-] displayed on the screen) When you get it right, the symbols will change back to the emoticons.
Press "Insert" to add the word to your T9 dictionary.
Now use the arrows keys to select the frowning face and repeat the process again, this time ensuring that you enter :-[ into your user dictionary.
Now anytime you want to type the hidden smilies, just press 1 three times and scroll down the list to select the icon you want. You can also delete the temporary bookmark when you've entered these symbols into your user dictionary.
Hope that helps someone!

Yeah, I thought I'd read about this on the boards before, but surely storing the emoticons in your user dictionary is more intuitive than setting up a template? I'm not a great person for knowing exactly what words I'm going to write before i start composing an SMS.
But hey, use whatever method suits. I know everyone knows about the hidden emoticons, just I couldn't find anyone who'd suggested this method of using them in a text message without having to muck around with templates.
