or is it just me...

I dropped my old T610 in the toilet (yes there was alcohol involved), just got my replacement today...

The LEDs have changed from a lovely light blue (toilet phone) to a rather effeminate lilac (on the new one)

I got a replacement T610 a bit ago when mine just died and I also noticed the change. Exactly as you said, more lilac on the new ones.
It also now plays sound recordings out loud though so I'm not complaining

It's the light behind the keys. It makes you see the keys in the dark.

If you wonder what we mean with keys, it's the numbered buttons.

The LED's are actually white, but appear lilac due to ambient lighting usually having a slight yellow hue, and the backing of the keys having a light blue tinge.

Look at the keys lit in a pitch black room and they'll look white.

so was it #1 or #2

@funnypad - my t616's are lilac (here in the U.S. we call it purple) as well. even in a pitch black room. in fact, the color became even more prominate the darker the room. if it's like the t68/i, then it is the actual leds which are different colors.

Ok. For those that do not understand.
The t610 had little LED's behind the buttons which were intially Blue in colour, like the t68i's. But, i have noticed that my friend's t610 which he bought just before christmas have a light lilac/purple/white colour. Some think they are lightpurple, lightblue, or white. They can really be either because my friend's are a very light bluey lilac, so it is whatever colour you recognise best. So the lighting has changed to a lighter white colour rather than the blue colour. Simple as that!

PS In the UK we also say purple, lilac is really light creamy purple!
