I'm a new user of P900 (Traditional Chinese version).
Is there a free dictionary engine which I can use to build my own Chinese English dictionary?
Which database application is the best one?
Thanks!

I am also looking for the same thing. I have a good dictionary with Chinese, Pinyin and English, but it's in a Unicode plaintext file and I want a front end.
I have installed the dictionary from the Chinese version of the P900, but it doesn't give Pinyin so I don't know how to say words I look up.
I looked on Handango but couldn't find an engine, just one dictionary that didn't work - is there one?
The only dictionary I could find was XLex, but, despite the fact that it seemed to be written by a UK company, the menus were in Chinese and I couldn't persuade it to translate from Chinese into English. It did work the other way round, but not at all well. It's a shame as it's cheap.

I have 3 dictionaries one of them is S&W dictionary and it's an ArabicEnglish and an EnglishArabic and it's very good.
the second is Advanced English Dictionary 2004 and it's an EnglishEnglish it's also very good.
the third is MSDict (Mobile Systems) and you can install in it a lot of kinds of OXFORD Dictionaries but I have only Idioms, Business and Medical. So try to find an EnglishChinese.
I hope I helped you with something.

Thanks for the information.
Unfortunately Mobile Systems don't seem to have a Chinese dictionary. but at least I have one more engine that I could use (assuming that I can find out the data format for it).
