Im getting my p900 unlocked at the weekend should i take it to a sony/ericson shop or is it safe to take it to any mobile shop

I don't know where you live.
The SonyEricsson's Portuguese page has something like a "dealer locator" in Support section.
Maybe your country's SonyEricsson page has one too...
Or maybe you can just ask them directly by email.
