Folks, can anyoe help me with this...
I have managed to install the correct settings to get my freeserve emails on my T610 using gprs. I can receive emails but cannot sent. I get a mesage something like 'unable to find outgoing server'. Does anyone have these settings? I've tried all obvious places eg and Vodagroan etc.

I've been using that on vodafone GPRS since they first introduced GPRS and its what they tell you to do on this page for your pc and pda outgiong mail.

I have a suspicion though that you are connecting to a wap GPRS profile rather than an internet GPRS profile.

can you have a look at the data account you are connecting with and tell me the APN setting. if it is "internet" then it is correct however if it is "wap.vodafone.co.uk" then I am not sure how you can send mail via a wap gateway.

yeah, you are right. stupid vodafone create their pages on the fly and they are timed to exist for only a short period so its hard to link to them. I keep forgetting.

anyway, for internet GPRS on vodafone you just need a data acount with the APN set to "internet" (no quotes). No other values are required.

Make sure you edit your email account and change the "connect using" to the new data account" and set the outgoing server to smtp.vizzavi.co.uk

Your emails will then go out successfully and I hope your freeserve still works for incoming!
