Right then, this is probably not the problem you think it is, eg I can't connect to the phone as the firewall is blocking it. Nope, I've OK'd it in the firewall and the computer and phone are talking ok.

No, this is a very annoying boot up problem / error message:

After reading some zonealarm moans, what's basically happening it seems is that, as in zonealarm I have OK'd the phone thru the firewall it seems to think it's a drive (well it is in a sort of way!)

Anyway, if I boot up WinXP without the P900 sitting in the cradle I get an error message from zlclient.exe saying there's no disk in the drive.

Here's a screen grab of the error message:

Now, it's basically saying the drive (p900) is in it's list, but has dissapeared and it should be connected.

Is there anyway I can get around this, as it's a right pain, and seems to be ocasionally upsetting other things due to the error message window staying open.

I don't see why I need to have the P900 on the base every boot up to avoid the error.

bump.............

anyone ?

Am I the only one with this problem ?
There must be 100's with P900's attached to a XP machine running ZoneAlarm.....

Be interested in your zonealarm settings if you have the above and no error messages on bootup.
Perhaps I can adjust my settings to cure the problem ?

Why don't u try instead of tweaking the settings (a) uninstalling Zonealarm and reinstalling and working with the wizard from the beginning, or (b) use Sygate Personal Firewall.
I've had problems connecting my P900 to my PC's to this day and still no solution.
Good luck.
