I have had my p900 for 2 months now. Just starting yesterday my battery has been VERY quick to finish. After taking it out of the cradle for 15 min, it will go down by a little already, and it's finished by evening. With my normal use it used to last 2-3 days... not just 12 hours!

The only thing I've changed in my phone is the memory --> 128mB and the theme/display. Before mine had a lot of dark colors and now it's all white/bright colors. Could this have made up for the difference?

Anyone else have this problem??

see my thread for something similar. best advice i've had is to take it back to retailer. batteries aren't my favourite subject at the moment

Ooo I always got 12 hours out of the battery. I thought this was normal for my usage!
NoW I will have to look at this closer!
2-3 days is very good.

BTW I average 2-3 hours talk a day and some games, BT, calender work.

to tell u frankly, u have got a really sick battery. You'll probably need to replace it.

Do u have ur cradle with the charger conected always, coz if it is so and u keep ur P900 on the cradle, it wil immediately try to recharge the battery by itself, thus result in OVER CHARGING of the battery. This is very harmful to the battery life, We call it draining the life out of it.

If u dont beleive me or dont feel like im yappin it correct, pls try to replace a nother battery and check on it.

So the point is to keep ur charger disconected from the syncstation when you dont feel like recharging.

cheers mate

Those weren't the answers I was hoping for

But I don't keep my phone charged... just every other night over night or every other other night... well I changed the display to something in between the bright white and the darker colors... and so far it isn't draining as fast... so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the brighter display... although it's not really brighter, it's just whiter.

make sure to "train" your battery properly.

to get my 3 days of usage, i only charge it when it's really, REALLY empty, and then i let it suck juice overnight.

last week i started to try charging it during the day, for an hour or so. my battery durability went down and i could barely use it for 24h.

try conditioning it like i described above for a few times, then it should be back to normal.

Have you tried using a task manager (like SMAN) to see whether there is applications running in the back ground? This will usually drain the battery. If you don't have a task manager then after charging it fully turn the phone off and on again and then just use the phone and no other appications and see how long the battery lasts.

I have read somewhere that the issue of overcahrging doesent exist any more with advanced batteries like that of P900.

Thanks for all the info! I will try both the battery conditioning (hehe) and making sure that all of my applications are off.
