hey. hope some one can help. i've just bought an apple mac g4 off a friend of a friend. trouble is i don't know if it has a cd burner or not. is there a way to tell? i've put a blank disc in and it spat it out after about 20 secs so i'm not very hopeful.

ps if anyone knows where to get cool free software downloads all posts welcome

well i don't use macs so i don't think i can be very helpful her but anyway:
1. look at your system properties or control panel or whatever and find if there's a device manager or something like that if it is it should say cd-rw
2. you can look at the specifications on the net on the imac site....
