> OGGPLAY converter which is the quickest

Ive read all the mp3pro vs oggplay format and from these boards have concluded that Ogg is the best quality, however i used dbpower to convert and it was pretty slow to convert. Is this the best tool to convert or is musicmatch quicker or any other recommendations for quickest converters??

Have you got a pentium 4? I would reccommend the P4 specific codec, it is much faster. (if u dont have it allready) But in general music coding isn't the fastest thing in the world...

try ripping from cd straight to ogg. that seems to help.

I assume that's what everyone does?? converting mp3 to ogg is not sensible, so unless it's neccessary don't do it. You may as well encode your mp3's to a lower bitrate .mp3 .... ....
