Hi. Just got my new z600, which I'm very happy with. My question is this: When I open the phone, there's a short delay before the screen lights up, during which it remains dark. In short, if I flip the phone open, there's a delay before I get my screen lit up, and the delay lasts until the phone clicks open, so it's only a second or two. I guess it's not a real problem, and the phone works just fine otherwise, but it is slightly annoying. Is this just my handset, or is this pretty common?
Thanks in advance...

I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I don't know. Whenever I do that click, two right, clich, one left... thing, I end up with 'write new message', which can't be right!
Got it today, unbranded, from Singlepoint in the UK. Your phone has the same delay?

My Z600 has a wee delay as well. It's not as long as the delay you describe but more like half a second at the most. I actually would never have noticed it unless you had brought it up.
Picture yourself a dark room, the light swtich is inside the room. You need to open the doo to switch the light on...
Same as for your Z600

Nicely put. Mine is probably no longer than that, but it starts black, flashes white and then goes to background, which is a little clumsy and unattractive.
I just wanted to check I didn't have a faulty unit!
Any idea what I'm doing wrong with the firmware check?

The delay is an inbuilt feature to increase performance me the battery life. You tend to find slip phones with 65k TFT screens normally juice batteries, but Z600 is comparable with one piece units! Hope this helps, Walrus :-)

Tried it fast, slow & medium. Obviously a bit dim...
Anyone think of anything obvious?
