Is there a way or program that one could use to view the pictures in a ztr file? For instance, I have downloaded several ztr files. Instead of copying all of them at once to my phone for selection by Tracker, I simply use this program to view the ones I like before sending them over to the phone. TIA

No, you can't view ztr files in the PC, since they are compiled skins. Or should be. So that you can't steal the artists work. Meaning you will have to ask the one who made the theme you want the picture from.

I don't think that's what he meant. Just for convenience of seeing them before putting them on the phone. But then again, most sites show a preview before you even download it. If you really just want a picture from a skin, just use Screen Capture! This message was posted from a T610

I have a faint memory reading somewhere that .ztr is a zipped file (since it is a compilation of different files) and you can open it using winzip. I may be completely wrong here. I am pretty sure the p900 themes which are .utz files can be opened using winzip.

.ztr is not a zipped format. It's a compiled file like if you take c/c++ source code and compile it using a program which makes it into one file. Which just gives high ascii and normal ascii jumbled together when trying to edit it. You need a decompiler (which I haven't seen for tracker theme files, but for programming languages like c/c++ and assembly).
Try using winzip or winrar and open a ztr file even renaming it to .zip or .rar and you will get "The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted". Winrar says "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged".

No, you can't view the ztr file like a picture using thumbnail system or something like it. You will have to check the site where you downloaded it for a preview. Hope this helps!
