Hi there,

I believe there is a battery problem with my hbh-30 but dont know what is the best way to get to it without damaging the headset.

any suggestions or pics appreciated.

Pics of my Sony-Ericsson HBH-30 Bluetooth Headset disassembled (dismantled for keyword purposes).

This device not used for about 1 yr. It no longer takes a charge. I have disassembled the device for my enjoyment. I could have simply popped the little battery compartment cover off for my purposes... I plan to externally charge the batteries until they read what I guess would be about right... 1.7 or 1.8 volts.... Kind of like jumpstarting a car.. but I'd appreciate anyones suggestions since this may not be the right fix. Currently the two batteries in series are reading about 1.55vdc.

For those of you who like what you see... be careful when you take yours apart.. which I do recommend because then you can put it back together again like it should have been put together in the first place... however I warn you, the little pins holding the two sides together break off so you might not want to do this if you're not into drilling microscopic holes and fastening it back together with small screws (the way things used to be put together).

Mine's also getting a bit weak. Just after a few minutes of usage the battery goes dead. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my hbh-10 after 3 months of not using it it went dead ,sent it to a service center and they retuned it back. l came to the conclusion that EVEN if you don't use your headset do this once a month charge it because the batterys have the ''memory problem'' now l have my hbh-30 for 3 years and i don't use it very often but i charge it once a month and there are not any problems with it i do this to all my headsets, HBH-35,HBH-600,HBH-660, HBH-200, I DID'T DO IT TO MY HBH-60 and it went dead hopefully it had it's warranty and they replaced it.
