> My P800 doesn't boot up any more
Bookmark topic
When I picked up my P800 from my pocket today it behaved strangely. When I tapped an application in the application launcher it didn't execute. It didn't do anything. I tried a few applications and when it didn't work I shut my phone down and then tried to start it again. But it would not boot.
When I press the power button, it vibrates, starts up, shows the welcome screen with the animated sony ericsson logo and sound, but it doesn't proceed to the "Enter SIM-Lock code" window. It just hangs there, with the backlight on, forever.
I have tried connecting to it from my computer, but it doesn't answer.
My guess would be that the internal drive is full. It wasn't much free space when my friends borrowed it to take some pictures. But I can't test this since I can't format the internal disk. I can't access the service menu because there is no * to tap, and I can't access my phone from my computer.
What do you think? Is it possible that this problem is due to a full internal disk?
Can I fool the phone to believe that the filesystem is corrupt so that it launches the "format internal disk" automatically?
If not, can I take it to a SE Service Center and ask them to update my firmware? Maybe they could erase the internal disk at the same time. I do have a backup that isn't that old.
Anyone have any idéas?
Thanks in advance!

Well Marcus, I guess that this problem may be due to low memory space just like you said, perhaps it is better for you to take your phone to SE Service Center to get your phone reset. At least thats what I think!
Hope this helps!

When I plug the charger the phone switches itself on, but it doesn't come any further than before...
Or have I missed something? (I'm not exactly sure I understand how I should do...)

It doesn't work... When I plug the cord in it boots itself up, but freezes on the white screen saying "Sony Ericsson P800". The upper right led turns red and after a little while it turns green.
If I power down and up the phone again, with the power cord plugged in, it does exactly the same....
I think I have to go look for a service center today. I hope they are open on saturdays...

I've just bought a p800.
It's not getting past the format screen... keeps doing it again and again and again, you get the idea.
Has any one got a solution?
