Good day to everyone.
I think this deserves a topic of its own.
I want to share my worst experience with my P900 till now.
I tried yesterday to do the update with the latest firmware(R4A06). The download of the firmware to my computer was completed without problem. However when the download from my computer to my P900 was in progress the last thing I was expecting was a complete power failure into the entire area. Imagine my expression on my face when this happened...
Result of this worst nightmare.
Everytime the P900 started and then shut down.
I tried to do a recovery mode update this time in order to recover my P900. Once again while download the last and worst thing that I was expecting d i d happened AGAIN! Power failure! We are talking big time unlucky day (Friday the 13th it was)!!!
Result.
The P900 started and worked normally with the latest firmware on according to the System Information with my previous settings on eg wallpaper/ringtones etc.
I start to wonder this cannot be happening because the download was not complete. So I decide to do a recovery mode update once again since the last was interupted. The recovery update is completed succesfully this time.
I decide to start the update with the firmware again since it was not completed from the first time. The SE update window informs me that I have the latest firmware on the P900 and asks me if I want to continue anyway. Yes no problem! Go on!
The download is succesful this time!(Thank God!!!)
Unfortunately my problems are not over yet!
I tried to restore my files etc back to my P900 (phone memory) and once the completion bar reaches the end I get the message thefollowing file cannot be restored because there is no memory space(try again? skip? cancel) Ok try again! Same question... Skip skip skip skip etc. At the end no contacts are restored as well as other things!
Solution?
I tried to restore another restore file which was almost 500kb less in quantity.
Results Thank God my contacts are back in place but still I got the same Skip skip skip skip etc question. However the phone works ok so far but I know that still some files are missing and am talking system files etc.
I dont want to backup the phone any moree because I know something is missing. Am thinking of backing up contacts and file not through the backup-restore app but manually and then formating the phone and wait until the next update!
Pls share your opinions.

I spend totally five hours with this problem. On Saturday I went through the c: of the P900 and found the Demo folder which was 1MB and more. It was installed together with the firmware which I dont think there is a reason to do so. This cause my restore problem. I got the demo folder deleted and then started the restore over again. This time was succesfully restored.
My advise is to delete the demo folder before you do the restore to your P900 especially if your phone memory is way to loaded!

Just go to global support for the P900 and click update. I always update from there.

Man!
Strange things do happen to you!!!
Your phones must suffer some kind of "Software Phenomenon" since P900 soft works on P800, crippled P900 soft seems to work with no problem...

"Worst thing that can happen during an Internet update!".......
Hmmm....the worst thing....?....I reckon that would be having two steel ballbearings sewn into your nutsack and your feet tied to a wooden mast...then roll in a supermagnet, turn it on and slowly pull back...and I thought Bagpuss was a chldren's TV show!!!!!

since you're back energetic. And I dont mean to make any problems. But was the p800 story the truth, or just something to cause false hopes?
