I have a tiny white spot in my P800 screen, looks like a ultra-bright white pixel, and it's definitely not dust...

Is it a dead pixel?

While it is possible for it to be a dead pixel it would require all three transistors (red, green, blue) to have failed on the same pixel at the same time and this is one of the least frequent types of dead pixel.

You should try viewing the pixel when the rest of the screen has different colours, i.e. all black, all white, all red, all green, all blue. Also viewing with a magnifying glass often gives a better idea whether the problem is really a dead pixel

A dead pixel usually is dark and not white .A white pixel points to a faulty driver IC. This message was posted from a Nokia 7650
