> connecting my t68i to my computer

I've been trying for months now to connect my t68i to my computer. I have a usb-cable for this, but nothing works!!
can somebody help me please???
I've downloaded loads of nice things, but neither of them works. not even the dail up networking wizard. so far I've installed the ericsson programs, like image-editor, mobile phone monitor and the 1.5.7 pack from the ericsson site... I should be able to syncronize in outlook, but nope, nothing...
nothing makes a connection, please help me...

the programs just say they can't find the phone/modem.
no error-messages or something, just nothing.
the cable should work. when I worked with win 98 I once could syncronize outlook, but that's all. now I work with win xp pro. I was hoping somebody here could advise me to use a program to make sure my phone could be seen by my computer...
by the way, no connection signs on my phone either. no bleep, light or message, just nothing.
