> volume beyond level 6

Yesterday I was talking with someone and because I was on the streets I couldn't hear clearly and so I pushed the volume tab on the phone. When I looked at the screen to check what level I was at, to my surprise I saw that instead of the usual levels upto 6, I now had volume level upto 8. Even after the call had ended, I checked in the volume settings I could now choose upto 8 levels. But I switched off the mobile and turned it back on.. and the settings were back to 6 levels.
Just to check it up... again I called my mobile and adjusted the volume... again on the screen I saw 8 levels. Does everyone else get the same thing when they try this.... could you all check it out?
Thanks

I don't think so. Because if that is the case then after I hang up, why should the melody volume display 8 level instead of its usual 6? Anycase I am just sharing it so that others who have similar confusion can sort it out.

Talk volume 8
Ring volume 6
You can only adjust talk volume while in a call. I think you have the two mixed up
