Hi,

I've heard people mentioning the 'bigger clock' on newer firmware.

When I go to the SE website, it says I have the latest firmware, but alas, I have a 'small clock.'

I want a bigger clock like everyone else.

Phone: CXC162022 R3A024
BT: CXC12529 R5D
Org: CXC162021 R1A05
CDA: CDA162004/7 R2B01

Can anyone help me get a bigger clock?

I think the solution to your question is already answered in your post. To simply put it, get the new firmware. Moreover, it sounds like you understand how to do some research because you heard of 'people with bigger clocks'. So, if your phone does not show the information illustrated in the pic below I think you should concentrate on getting your phone upgraded. Utilize the same method you used to find those 'people with bigger clocks' to understand how/if/where you can go about upgrading your phone.

tbl, to get the bigger clock you first need to update your F/W, you can't do can't do this online as you appear to have either a network or region locked phone (CDA162004/7). The only people who can do this for you is a sonyericsson service centre or at a CPW service point.

Strange as the phone should be unlocked.

It was purchased on Sunday from an O2 shop.

Is this normal?

When you turn the phone on if it starts with the o2 splash screen then it's been locked!

Yeah it's got the O2 splash screen.

I've just taken it to a repair centre for an upgrade. Told them I heard there was an upgrade which sorted T9 and Bluetooth problems.

Out of interest, when gforce said you can unlock it, are you referring to this method, or another?

tbl, did you get fw downloaded and who did it for you? I have the same FW as the one you had as mine also from O2.

The P900s with the O2 splash screen do have the O2 proprietary firmware... but they're not SP-locked. I was sure of this, and then confirmed it with a Virgin Mobile SIM card.

Cheers!
