Hi guys,

I am new to this forum ,and must say it seems like an excellent place.

I have 2 questions regarding SMS on the z600 (didn't appear on the FAQ and no idea what search string to enter)

anyways, was wondering if you guys can help me.

1) when typing a text (predictive), in the top right corner of the screen, numbers keep appearing e.g "1/5", "1/7", "1/4"

what on earth does this mean, and why does it appear?

2) i must have accidentally entered some words in the "spell word" function, and they have priority. So basically, e.g. I press 8,6 to make the word "to", instead I get "vn"
Is there any way to make it say "to" first tim as it is such a common word.

Also if there is any other way to prioritise your chosen word over one you have entered manually through predictive text.


They seem like simple questions, and I hope I've explained myself clearly.

1) i think the "1/4" etc. refers to the number of options you have after pressing the particular key (e.g. the first of four options)

2) i suggest you just go to My Words and delete the accidentally entered combination.

1) I am not sure what you mean by this, as what options could it refer to? it only comes up in predictive text?

2) I haven't seen a "my words" option in the z600 menu. Where would i find such a thing?

1) one of the four options in the predictive text list - the one you scroll through in the message.

2) while writing a new message, select more and scroll down to My Words.

thanks alot mate. got it sorted out, exactly as you said.

just as an additional point I noticed just as I did it now (in case anyone else has the same prob) if you "spell word", depending on what option it is, e.g. 2/5 or 3/5, the new spelt word will become the 2nd or 3rd word in the list of predicted words.
