Hi all,
I know that a lot of discussions has been made in this forum regarding the ideal charging practises... or atleast thats what most of my search results brought up.
The ideal practises mentioned range from "charge as u please" to "charge as least as u can as the no. of charges allowed would reduce with each charge".
However, my query is this.... What happens if I play games with the phone pluged in ... I mean, if I play games, or rather allow my son to play games while the phone is being charged, how is the battery life affected? Does it cause a drain on the battery ... or does this bypass the battery and just let the phone function directly from the charger?
BTW, I've just got the T610 (infact, the friend who carried it for me has not yet given it). am waitinggggggg
Cheers

it shouldn't affect battery life per se, but it might take a little longer for the phone to charge since part of the current is being used to power the phone apps.

Hey, Thanks for the info!
I'm not particularly concerned if it takes a while longer, just that I want to save my battery. I'm certain once I get it, kids will be using it more than I and so the question ....
Cheers

With a brand new battery there is said not to use the phone during the charge.

Oh well, i made a little experiment some time back: I left it to charge for half an hour then started playing with it and surfing wap for another hour with it still charging. Then left with the phone. The problem is the phone uses all the energy when u r using it and although it shows charging it charges almost nothing. The battery went depleted after 15 mins of talking..this supports my theory. If u play with it it'll not hold a charge .
