> A hot P900!
Bookmark topic
Hi guys,
I was just reading a thread in this board on someone's P800 overheating. This kinda brought to mind something which happened to me.
I remember this happened to my P900 once, although nothing serious came out of it! I was playing music files on it on Oggplayer, and literally listening to them non-stop for an hour or two or so...I left the phone on the table, and when I finally picked it up it was hot! Not so hot that I would call it overheating, but certainly hot enough for me to feel a very distinct difference.
Guess this should be quite a normal thing, since it was doing some heavy processing. And, no problems came out of this. But, just a story to share with everyone, and also a curious wonder as to whether anyone of you application-freaks experienced this too?

I had the same heating problem when using the OGG player. Then I put of my phone and restarted it.
After than I had no problems anymore

I too have felt my P900 heating up occasionally, although it has never been anything more than slightly warm.

Guess it's quite a normal thing! Well, what I felt was certainly more than just slightly warm, but still nothing which made me feel alarmed.
Looks like this means listening to Oggplayer for more than an hour straight is a very heavy application! I love my P900 even more after knowing this, since the battery level didn't really go down much even after all that music

Oggplayer doesn't seem to gobble up much juice compared to other apps. I have listened to music on my P900 when on long journeys, etc and the battery has been affected relatively little my continued use of Oggplayer.
Opera seems to drink up the juice like a camel though.

And so does EScumm! I've been playing Indy Jones on it, and it's totally gorging itself on my battery power...
Didn't know about Opera, still haven't gotten it to work on my phone yet...regardless of whether I connect via GSM or GPRS...maybe I should reinstall it!

Opera is probably the best app for Px00

It does appear to soak up a hefty amount of power if you use it for nay length of time. Obviously the larger the web pages you look at the more power will be used up.
