What's the best cradle for holding the P900 in a decent position in the car?
Ideally I don't want to drill holes, but the last one I had which used the vents was pretty crap.

Drill hole or get crap... tough choice!! You can get some good 3M double sided tape and use that instead of drilling holes! when yu want to remove it, a light solvent will usually take the stuff right off!

Any links for the magnet ones?
I normally wouldn't mind drilling holes, but I will be disposing of the car in a few months, so can't see the point.

I use one I bought from Halfords for GBP14.00 that works by sticking to the windscreen - for my car it works well. Also similar item available from
www.pdamods.com and
www.totalpda.co.uk

Is this a suction cup styleee one?
How well does the cup stick to the windscreen if so?

As my company fits phone kits here are my recomendations:
Sony Ericsson HCH-37 car hold about £25.00
and to prevent and holes in your dash use a "Dash Mount" this is a bracket that fits in behind part of your cars trim and is designed for specific car makes and models again about £20.00
But if you are going to do it, do it properly!!

I agree with the above poster. A "Dash-Mount" is by far the easiest, and cleanest way to attach a cradle to your vehicle. It is designed to fit securely behind 2 pieces of trim, and provides a solid black plastic surface for you to attatch your chosen cradle.
I have the universal SE cradle attached to a "Dash-Mount" in my car, and it holds both my P900, and my wife's T610 at the perfect angle to view whilst driving.
You can get these "Dash-mounts" form CPW. Cost between £15-£30. The branches will have to mail order them, but you can see where the unit will be on your vehicle because the CPW Intranet "Melon" can show you a rough diagram of the location.
Good luck!

I'm possibly being really thick here, but I can't get my head around the 'dash mount' option.
What goes behins the trim? How does it prevent drilling of holes?
Is it a magnetic fixture?
How do you get it behind 'specific parts of your trim'?
