> SE Z1010 due May'04 on T-Mobile 3G
Bookmark topic
I dont think anyone has posted this yet, it didnt show in the searches, but i got this from a T-mobile press release:
" Monday 16 February
At one minute past midnight, 00.01am, today, T-Mobile’s switch was turned on, activating T-Mobile’s UK 3G network, joining T-Mobile’s other 3G networks in Germany and Austria.
At present, the 3G networks are being used by selected customers using 2.5 and 3G data cards in laptops with automatic roaming across T-Mobile’s seamless network. In the coming months, T-Mobile will be launching 3G handsets and services on a widening basis as part of an integrated approach to the provision of new data, broadband and other services "
The SE Z1010 is said to be the first 3G handset T-Mobile will be offering. So whats your thoughts ? I like the phone, but everyone says its huge and very old now even though its specifications are still pretty much up to date.

The Z1010 is absolutely massive. Simply too large for my tastes.
It will be nice to see what kinds of 3G contracts T-Mobile are going to offer, as the current 3 ones are quite good as it is.

Yes, its a large phone. However i think what makes up for it is the fact it has many of the same functions as the p900, including the mp3 player. So the size when closed it smaller than the p900.
I think of it as two T610's back to back when closed, and then end to end when open.
Still no details on the OS yet, so its probably not Symbian7.0
Im looking forward to it.

Well, it's

software for z1010.It's not a big phone and u'll notice this when u'll try and have a video conference withn some1, or ty to watch a clip....imho it needs to be this 'big' in order to serve its purpose.
