> New Feature Desired on Esato

Well, I go onto the Official AT&T forum for SONY Ericsson's to see what people talk about there. It astounds me to how stupid people can be. They talk like they know what they are saying, yet they don't.
Anyways, I found that they have a feature on there which I really think Esato could utilize!
Those forums let you subscribe to specific threads, and notify you when a new response has been added to a specific thread. Well, I think that this would be awesome here! True, we have the "Search" option (couldn't find the page with all of the smileys, or I would have posted that dude holding the "Use the Search Sign"), but how cool would it to be to notice a topic that we thought was interesting, and in just one click, be able to follow the topic of that thread, or to pull it up in a few months?
Yeah, we have the "New Posts" and the "Posts in the Last 24 Hours" hyperlinks, but I would enjoy to "Subscribe" to a specific thread. Recently, my computer was stolen, so I am now forced to use the computers in the school lab. Well, they flash themselves when they are restarted, making it impossible for me to save a cookie (and besides, it's a public computer, I don't want people having access to my accounts.
Now, before people razz me, I want to say "
LAFFEN, YOU ARE DOING ONE TERRIFIC JOB!!! (Heck, I don't even have to say it, you know by how many people are here!!!) I, (in fact) WE ALL APPRECIATE THE WORK AND DEDICATION THAT YOU PUT INTO THIS SITE. IF YOU NEVER DID ANOTHER THING HERE, WE'D BE MORE THAN HAPPY.
However, if you do decide to add more stuff, then please consider this? Thanks!!!
Ethan

This subscription feature is available on Esato, but currently its only available to the person creating a new thread.
When starting a new thread you can see "Notify by email when replies are posted" in the options box under where you type the text.
So I guess if laffen wants to add this function he already has some script to do some or all of it

This is the reason I never use subscription on any forum.

I'd like this feature. If u r interested, u subscribe and if not, then don't subscribe! If u r VERY interested in esato and u subscribe to a lot of topics but u r worried that u have too many emails with ur business and private emails, them have anotha email adress especially for the tons of esato-emails. I have 2 email addresses..no prob.
