Hi. I have a favor to ask of some of you. I'm curious what the first 6 letters/numbers for the IMEI of the P800 and P900 are. It should be listed under the battery. I think that all the 800s and 900s will have the same first 6 letter/number combinations and I just wish to confirm this. Please only the first six, any more is information that I don't need. I would do this myself, but the country I live in doesn't sell these phones yet. Thanks

P800s have a 6-digit code.
P900s have a different 6-digit code.
without further reason for telling you the codes, I don't deem it necessary to tell you, accompanied by the fact that the information is somewhat useless unless you have illegal purposes in mind, in which case I'm DEFINATELY not telling you.

IMEI: XXXXXX YY FFFFFF A
Where:
X= TAC, Type approval Code (indicates country & Producer)
Y= FAC, Final Assembly Code (a producer code)
F= serial number (this is a unique number)
A= SP, Spare (not used, is always "0", implemented for future use)
So, telling someone the first 6 numbers (X) isn't dangerous.

People can just guess numbers. If they know the first 6, it makes the overall job a lot easier.

if you tell us why you want the TAC numbers it's much better, and the thread wont risk be deleted from the forum.

Let the flaming begin...
P.S. the comment about only needing the first 6 then guessing the rest is correct. Otherwise just guessing those numbers are of no use when "MAKING UP IMEI's ON STOLEN PHONES IN ORDER TO USE OR SELL THEM".
