Hi guys. This has probably been bought up but I just got a p900 to replace my p800. Problem is I have over 350 contacts on my 800 and want to know how I can smoothly transfer my contacts to my 900. I have only one sim that can be put into one phone at a time. I have no idea how this can be done. I want to avoid MS outlook because it's gone nuts on my comp. If I place my 900 in the 800's sync cradle and restore a back up, would it replace software as well?

Need help and thanks in advance.

Hey , I too had this problem , what i did was use bluetooth and sent them all and it did it just fine

you need to turn bluetooth on , on both the handsets to do this.

On the p800 goto your contacts
then click on the contacts dropping down the menu
select send this folder
select bluetooth
send it
then on your p900 goto messages then beamed and its save i think and you have done it

Which phone would I need the sim chip in? The p800 I'm assuming?

If the contacts are on the sim just put the sim in the p900

Click on contacts
Then click on all then click on sim
Then click on edit
Then click on copy all to contacts

Hilly,

You're the man! Thanks! I used my co-worker's sim and it worked famously.

Last question. If I install the PC suite for 900 on the same pc I have the PC suite for p800 on, can I use the same sync cradle? Would it know which phone I plugged in?

Yes if you put the P900 on the P800 cradle the pc will see it as a P900 and the other way around too. Note that they both use different power. for example the P900 uses more wattage than the P800. I did it for 2 minutes and maybe any longer and it could screw up your battery i dont know

I had problems when i installed the P900 PC suite. I had to uninstall the P800 one to make it work.
