The hardware code is nothing more then a batch number. The so called latter version ie 4a is no better then 1a its just a batch number my latest phone is 1b 02W14... what are your thoughts...

to use your post as an example, 02W14 is not the hardware batch number, it is the date when you phone was manufactured.

your phone has a sticker at the back where it will state the hardware revision number. that is usually different between dates of manufacture.

mine is R1B hardware.
