I have just purchased a Z600......I am liking the phone but have just found something I can't seem to solve which concerns me.

I am currently interested in synchronisation from Outlook Contacts to the Z600 Phonebook only (reverse synch is not as important). The only change I have made is in XDNTConnect Settings to map the outlook "business address" field to the Z600 "title" field to get address information on the Z600 at all.

As you will see by the result:
1. The "Company" and "Title" ("title" now mapped to "business address") field have been shortened to about 15 chars in length.
2. If I mapped "business address" field to "fax" or "other phone" fields and synched all alphabetic characters are removed during the synch ie. not much use for an address.

Therefore my questions again:
1. Any ideas how to get a business address on the phone in a reasonable state?

2. Any ideas how to turn the validation off so alphabetic chars will not be removed during the synch process?

3. Is there a way to change the Z600 field lengths to suit what I want to achieve. For example use the 50 char "other phone" field space to add to the title field length?

4. Are outlook contact URL's synched onto the phone anywhere in case I want to look at one with my phone browser?

5. Are these issues likely to be solved in the relatively near future with either firmware or XTNDConnect upgrades? I am a new Sony Ericsson user and I am not sure how responsive they are with solving issues. My software versions are XTNDConnect V4.9 Build 541, Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5703), Windows XP Build 2600.xpsp2.etc SP1. I am not sure how to find the Z600 firmware version as I can't seem to find a "Service" option mention in the FAQ, what should it be under?

Current WORKAROUND: the temporary workaround I could use if this is likely to be fixed is; every time I schedule a meeting in Calendar I add the persons business address to the location field (50 chars). This work's but it is fairly repetitive.

6. Should I be taking the phone back before be the cooling off period is over?

Could not seem to find the answers to the questions on this forum, apologies if they are there.

I presume you have the free version of xtnd? It might be worth investigating the paid-for version. Does anyone here use it to comment. Failing that there are alternative sync options like FMA that might do a better/different job. This message was posted from a WAP device

I do have the FREE version.

Good point about the other products though, although I would not think they would change field size limitations on the Z600. They may however have some validation options. Hopefully someone else can answer this.

Does anyone have an opinion of SE support actually fixing this and if so what would be a guestimate of the timeframe to do this?

I have a sent and email to SE support, at this stage no repsonse.
