I got a USB 2 memstick reader from some camera store based on the Isle of Mann l think, it was pretty cheap too if i remember rightly. Ill have a search when i get home for the addy

i have mine built in with the computer and it's very very fast i.e. no waiting when downloading mp3s on to it, you canbuy the internal and install it, it just fits in the other 31/2 floppy drive (presuming you have two.

That means you have to have it directly wired to the motherboard USB headers, which need to be USB 2.0 compliant for any decent speeds.

The USB 2.0 cards required for mobos with only version 1.1 support are easier to plug in than buying a new motherboard and reinstalling everything just for 2.0 compatibility.

USB is the way to go

I bought a generic Taiwan make "Eagle Tec" usb reader for Mem Stick and then used the MS adaptor for transferring the duo. Worked fine for me. IMHO, I guess you don't really need any speacial branded stuff.

Yeah, get the amazon one for £7 or whatever it was. Not only does it do ms/msduo/compactflash/smartmedia/multimediacard but it's portable as well.
