hi, guys,
I just bought a SE T610 with T-mobile, I am gonna travel back to China next month, but when I asked T-mobile to unlock it, they said the account has to be at least 90 days old. At the same time, the firmware on my phone is very old, R1***** something like that, So I have a question here. If I do a firmware update, either here or in China, will the t-mobile phone lock automatically go away??? or will they need to phone unlocked first to do a firmware update?

welcome here. fw upgrade has nothing 2 do with unlocking. i am afraid, u have 2 find an other way 2 get ur fone free. latest upgrade is r6b if i well remember
