> Having Problems with DSS-20 Drivers!
Bookmark topic
I have a problem with my DSS-20 drivers. I can't upgrade the drivers! I tried Uninnstalling the old ones, but the new ones won't innstall. All I get is: "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware." It is the correct folder, but it won't innstall!!! Somebody help! The old drivers shows "DCU-11 (COM3)" In the "Ports" section of the device manager! What the [Expletive Deleted]!!!???

I know that this is probably teaching granny to suck eggs, but have you installed the drivers BEFORE plugging in the DSS-20.
Also, if you uninstall and then re-install are you using the MANUAL and not the AUTO install functions and CHOOSING the driver you want.

There is no auto install for the drivers on the net

It is really strange. I downloaded the drivers from SE's homepage and when i manually choose driver and choose the .inf file it doesn't show any unit :|

Are you using W/XP or an earlier version?
Did you completely un-install the previous drivers including any folders or software left in your Programs Folder on your root directory?
Check for conflicts in the Device Manager.
Unplug the device and un-install/re-install re-start PC and then plug in device..

I have uninstalled it with the uninstaller followed with the driver, the driver dissapears. I un-plug the device and plug it in again after restart, it finds new USB-device, but the new drivers still won't work. I have Windows XP

There is one thing i wonder about. When I install the old drivers it finds the device as a Port and not a USB device.

No Problem

But I am going to try with some other Drivers a friend of mine have. I think they will work better since I have tried them before. He has a newer Phone than me to. But thanks anyway

I'm also having the same problems, after trying both the Drivers on the CD and ones I have downloded from the SE P800 Support site.. I haven't had any luck yet.. I would be veryinterested to know if there is a fix for this!
