i mean when i back up i get an option where do i save backup, but thi option is only p900 or mmc, isnt the point of backup that the backup is stored on PC??

i look in options and i see that the backup saves into a pc to but im not shure is this a real backup saved on the pc or not.

the file extention on the PC is *.ECS is this corect?

and the second problem is that when i do a backup i do it on the mmc and when i want to delet it i dont find this file on the mmc so,must i format mmc card every time i did a backup?

Your P900 is always backed up to your PC, never to your memory card. The option allows you to back up either your phone memory OR your memory stick to your PC, but not your phone memory TO your memory card.

It doesn't ask you WHERE to backup, it asks you WHAT to backup! It ALWAYS does a backup to PC.

So basically, its asking you 1) Do you want to back up the phone memory, or 2) Do you want to back up the memory card memory. If you check neither of these, there's nothing to back up, so therefore nothing to check!

I understand the problem which I am having too.

It says : "Make Backup on " and gives you the choice "Phone Memory" or "Memory stick".

My command of the English language leaves me to believe that either it should mean "make backup of" and not "on" - or what ?????

It's the wrong use of language by SE. What they are meaning is whether we want to make a back up of the phone or the memory card? Eventhough they say 'ON' the phone or Memory card. Just ignore it and select both if you want to make a back up of the phone and the memory stick.

As shiny spoon said above it backs up on the computer

I would advice you to look at MobileWipe (http://www.mobilewipe.com), it is a online service let you backup, restore and even delete your phone if you lose it. I will imagine you can select what to backup, either it is on your memory card or phone.
