how can i get my p800 back to a p800 if i do it as a p900 ???

Do u mean puttin P9 f/w on a P8?
As far as I know this isn't possible but if it was I should imagine a f/w upgrade with P8 f/w would restore it. Then again IF it worked, why would you want to return it to P800 f/w?

I have followed the threads all the way as well, and to my very surprise, it becomes a pivate forum today, could someone brief us what is going on, this is a very interesting topic. I also believe that it can be done as the differences between the two machines are mainly the screen and the on-board memory modules. This is not new for SE, there were full examples, like T68 and T68i, and the same happens all teh time for the clie PDAs made by Sony.
One interesting observation is: all the discussion concerning this topic has been wiped out, is this place run by SE?

What's the secret of this subject? Why was it removed? I think this place is supposed to be opened for sharing of experienec and discussion, and I don't see how this topic violates the rules of the forum. Is this place under pressure of some sort so that this topic can only be discussed in the corner of a dark alley? Are we living in the dark ages now?
