So my new IBM T41 laptop has Bluetooth running the IBM Bluetooth stack. And I can get it to connect and synchronize with my P900.

However, in order to do so, I need to "manually" click a couple things a couple times within My Bluetooth Places in order to establish the connection.

I was expecting this to connect automatically when they were in range. Has anyone got this to happen? Or is the expected behavior that you need to "manually" establish the Bluetooth connection.

I believe I configured it to connect automatically - at least I tried to click all check boxes that said things about connecting automatically.

Thanks,
Paul T

i've been using MSI Bluetoes and and the automatic connection works fine with me. Upon serial port connection, the phone link for my SEP800 initates its connection and after a few seconds, i can now synchronize or install files wirelessly.

The bt serial port connections always have to be initiated from your pc... which is a bit odd considering that the p900 will immediately close this connection and open a new one instead.

It is possible to have the bt serial port opened automatically as soon as your phone is in range if you use something like this utility:

Works reasonably well for me.
