I've used my girlfriend's M130 for aprox. 2 weeks and I can say that it is a very great little unit. The pros of it is the size, the supplied software, the colour of the screen is very good and it's not that expensive. And you can change the covers, so that it doesn't look like every one else's M1**. The fact that it's rechargable is good, since a colour screen would eat a lot of battery's! Being able to expand the handheld's 8 mb. memory with SD- and MMC-cards is also a big plus in my book!
The cons of the M130 is that the screen is rather small (smaller than eg. Palm M515, PocketPc's etc..). This is a pro in some people's opinion since every pixel becomes closer and therefore you get a sharper picture on the screen. Sometimes when fast movement happens on the screen every thing becomes a bit blurry/unsharp (esp. in action-games). But that has not bothered me much, since I'm not a big gamer. The screen is very good indoors, but not so good in sunlight/outdoors. Battery-life is decent, but since you have no way of turning the back-light of the M130 off at all, means eating more battery than if you could turn it off eg. outside on a sunny day)!
I'm using a Palm M515 daily myself, and having owned five Palm-models before it, I must say that IMO it's the best of the Palm's. In the budget-range the Palm M130 is a great buy, and I don't think you'll regret buying one! When comparing price vs. features the Palm M130 is probably the best buy in the Palm range at the moment! It's not to expensive, has colour & expandibility and almost every other feature the more expensive Palm M515 has, except metal-casing, a better screen outdoors, smaller footprint and 16 mb. memory.
I've used a Sony Clié T615, and even though the 320x320 resolution of the screen looked sharp, the battery-life was so horrible I just couldn't keep it. Having also used Compaq Ipaq 3660/3870, HP Jornada 568, Nokia 9210 and many many other PDA's/SmartPhones, I must say that nothing beats the simplicity and yet diversity of the Palm OS!
If you find a M130 at a price you feel is right, I would recommend that you buy it!

Escobar, I'm currently a m505 user and being a Palm user for the last 3-4 yrs, I agree with you that Palm still rules over the rest! Hope you don't mind sharing some info with some of us. Do you sync your Palm with your T68? If so, what software do you use? I'm using PhoneMan to sync my T39 phone book and SMS with my m505 but it's just not complete. It only syncs about 3/4 of the phonebook from my T39. Care to shed some light here? TIA!

I sync my Palm M515 with my T68 daily. I use a superb program called GSMtool 1.42a! If you send me a private message with your mail adress, I can provide you with a registered copy of that program. It syncs the whole phonebook in my T68 (304 contacts)!
I've not tried the SMS-function of the GSMtool program, because I use a program called MonkeyMessenger for that purpose. The reason for this is that I have a TDK Blue-M Bluetooth-adapter for my Palm, and GSMTool does not currently work for SMS over Bluetooth.
But my girlfriend also sync's her M130 Palm with GSMtool, and she uses the SMS-function without any problems! One important thing to remember when using GSMtool is to remove alot of the stanadard setting of the program, because it's set up for use in Germany when you install and open it up the first time! But it backs up EVERYTHING in your T39's phonebook and your sim-card without any problems!

My personal favorite for sending SMS is MonkeyMessenger!
But the best all-in-one program for both syncing the adress-book and sending SMS is GSMtool, which is mentioned above! If you PM me with your mail-adress, I can provide you with a copy of that program!
