Hi

I have recently bought a P900 on the vodafone UK network and have *finally* managed to get the non wap access point settings (I think!)

The problem that I have is that, although I can browse the internet using Opera and send and receive email by connecting to my pop3 and vodafones smtp servers, none of the telnet applications that I have tried on the phone (Mocha and NewTelnet) work.

They both claim to have made a connection to the host server (specified as an IP address) but no data is actually being sent or received over the GRS connection - I know that the server is up BTW.

I'm wondering whether the access point that I am using is restricting the type of traffic to and from the phone - although even the ping utility in NewTelnt doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Here are my GPRS settings:

APN: internet
user: web
password: web
IP address: auto
DNS address: auto
proxy: no
enable PPP: yes

Thanks in advance

Martin
