Hi there just noticed that after my P900 was fiddled with by the Vodafone shop, to get opera etc working, that they have installed an extra icon, has an i in the notepad like icon with vodafone links and online services. This is also present at position 10 in the applications link when the flip is closed. anyone have ideas on how to remove it. can't uninstall it and cant find the files using qfileman.

I have the same on my vodafone SIM and its present on any phone I have put that sim into. I suspect they did you a sim update while they had the phone. I received one last week and it informed me to power the phone off and on to receive an updated vodafone menu.

its just a way of getting to some of their online services (weather, news etc as well as phone services and prices) but be careful because some cost.

Not sure that you can remove it by any phone option but perhaps a call to Vodafone might get it deactivated on your sim

Thanks. Shouldn't they inform customers first and ask permission to do so? Guess Vodafone are slowly heading the way of orange...

Guys relax its nothing to worry about .. its not software or anything ... u guys are using a simcard from voda called sim2 ... sim2 it a new system on ur simcard that give u access to a menu for vodafone services. eg.u can check things like ur account ballance or dl news and sports (it all works via sms) ... its not a software thing .... if u put that simcard into anyfone the menu will show up... like if u where to put into a t630 it will be under connectivity
