The most unbelievable thing happened today, I am so happy that I have to share it.

About three months ago I posted for help as the P800 green service light was always on and the phone would not connect to my PC via USB or accept a handsfree kit at the bottom of the phone, factory reset and internal disk format did not work. I took the phone part and cleaned every inch with compressed air and still no joy.

I had considered taking it to a service centre or sending it to Celestica but as my warranty runs out in two months I could imagine that I would be in a quagmire as I would probably get a handset that was worse. So I persevered and put up with the green light and having to use infra red to transfer files.

About an hour ago I left my P800 on the bed whilst I cooked dinner, I had just installed Worldmate 3.

I returned about ten minutes later and all of a sudden the green light was flashing and now I can connect via USB. This is sad but I am so happy about it as I had considered returning to my Mokia 3650!!!!!!!!

Anybody else had a similair experience?

I can't say I've had anything like that happen before, with me if something's broken it will stay broken.

Anyway, glad to hear your P800 is performing as it should.

My charger lives too. :-) It's charging when it will. 1 month it worked fine then not and now works it again. How long I don't know. This message was posted from a T300

yeah something similar happened to me: but it wasnt with my P800 but with my Moto T720i... the keypad wasnt working so i gave it to cpw. after 3 weeks i got a letter saying my phone was at my local cpw. i was overjoyed! but when i read the rest of the letter my heart sank: they said my mobli was permanently water damaged... but wtf i thought, i might as well pick it up from cpw... and i did. and you can imagine my surprise when it turned on and everything worked fine! so i told the cpw guy to f**k off (he was trying desperately to quote me 120 quid for a repair)and walked out the shop real happy chappy oh yeah the phone snapped in half two weeks later... but thats another story!

lucky for you lol.
My P800 freezes with a blank screen, then when I press the screen, it switches on (as if I pressed the power button) and then takes like 2 minutes to load everything up. Wierd thing is, I dont have anything on it!
