Just checking...........

The new P900 software that was recently released (posted on here a few days back)

I'm assuming this sync's ok now (for contacts) with Outlook 2003 ?

But, secondly........

Am I hoping too much that it handles contacts in sub folders now ?

eg: You can make sub folders in Outlook 2003 to put different types of contacts into (eg: friends, business, finance etc) and you can also make named folders on the P900

But will the new software sync these folders and their contacts ?

Hey I was already looking for such feature.

Personnaly, I already tried to split contacts in different folders but seems I'm have problems with the synchronisation.

What I was looking for too is : Is it possible to create contact folders on the P900 and use them transparently with any application?

Also I fail to comprehend how Sony Ericsson can fail to do correctly the 1 biggest, simplest, most basic task needed between a phone and a PC. Namely sync your names and numbers correctly.

I mean, how much more a basic requirement can you get ?

In Outlook you can create subfolders so you can group your contacts into managable and undestandable catagories (Friends, shops, business etc)

In the P900 you can do exactly the same.

But will they Sync correctly ?
Anyone know ?

Just did a quick test - it DOES sync Contacts other than the default 'Contacts' folder.

*BUT*

You can only sync one folder of contacts at any one time (you have to select which particular folder you are going to sync with on the sync settings dialog).

Also - there's no differentiation on the P900, ie - the contacts just appear as an 'Unfiled' type.
