How many times has your phone frozen / halted (so you had to remove the battery and put it back again for the restart)?
My T68i is now 1 year and 9 months old and I have experienced that three times. Twice while using GPRS and once trying make a call (while connecting).

a few times with T68i, once that I can recall with T610, none with Z600 or T630. P800 used to hang a bit too on GPRS but P900 seems fine

At least our phones don't use Microsoft operating software, that would be crashing on a regular basis. Symbian OS is not too bad in all honesty, all the phones i have used have never freezed or crashed on me.....................YET

It was explained to me by an Ericsson technitian years ago (was still just ericsson) that rechargeable batteries are not meant to be left on the charging unit all the time. With most rechargables, you are supposed to charge them, then remove them fromthe charging unit. Lead acid and NIcd are not so bad with it, but LiOn and NiMT are. Consider, never used to happen when phones came with base chargers where you would remove the battery. Now, we have phones that are almost always on and the bats are charged on the device. Also, the higher the tech the more the possiblility of freezing. Cordless phones get put on the charger alot, so aren't much of a problem. My PDA freezes up now and then, and I do a soft reset.

As he said, sounds like a crock, but it works!

My P800 freezes every now and then, always when i'm using Oggplayer, what you've got to remember is it's a phone and not a super computer!
