> Coolest use of GPRS?
Bookmark topic
I was just wondering what great things I can do with my new P800?
Picking up email and web surfing on the go is cool, of course, but what other things do you use your GPRS connection for?
At the moment I've got free GPRS, i.e. no per MB rates so I'm ready to do some serious data transfers

A great use of GPRS is getting your annoyed. Try to make sure you are using it for something really importnat e.g. downloading a very important e-mail etc Then hopefully it will just cut out and leave you feleing very frustrated, bags of fun
Seriously though, there has been a lot of prior discussion on topics similar to this. There were more than a few discussions on streaming radio and perhaps even TV over GPRS. The radio I would say is possible, although possible very expenisve (not a problem to you if you get it free). The TV idea isn't much of a go'er in my opinion. Too much data to stream without the capacity to do it quickly enough, quality would be awful.
Try the radio though, might be fun. There is always the bonus that you can download larger files from the web onto your phone, without concern for cost, if you are getting GPRS completely free.

Who gives free GPRS access?
O2 give online customers half a meg for free, but does anyone give truly unlimited access?

I'm overwhelmed with how quickly you guys answered my post. Thanks!
A company in Denmark called CBB has been offering free GPRS for about a year now. They say they start charging by the MB at some point but no-one knows when. When they start charging it will be at about DKK 10 per MB which is roughly £0.90.

Oh, did I mention that CBB has NO monthly fee:) It's pay-as-you-go so you can just pay the initial DKK 45 (~£4) and enjoy your free GPRS for as long as it lasts.
There is no flat rate deals in Denmark which is a shame. When CBB's offer eventually runs out I'd love a flat rate deal so I won't have to worry about the running costs...

Civilised indeed, but I have a feeling it's all because they haven't figured out how to charge per MB yet. I.e. a technical problem
