Is there any way that i can use the infra red on my t610 to do anything funky like change channels on the telly or operate my dvd player?? if not why not??

True, but it can get so annoying sometimes. I mean, why do they even include the bloody instruction manual if you're not gonna read it. Why is there a search here? You should fully discover your phone before you ask questions!!!
