> P900 on Upgrade from Orange -£129!!
Bookmark topic
The title says it all.
I have had my current contract with Orange for 9 months, My average monthly bill is £120, so I called up to ask about an online only trrif they have that gives 400 minutes free to all service providers and landlines PLUS 500 free texts a month for £50 (I'll save heaps the most minutes i've used in a month is circa 360).
I called direct to the dept that you go to when you want to leave and go to another provider and explained to teh girl that I was p!ssed that i had to pay an upgrade AND buy and new phone in order to take advantage of the online offer (it was for new custs only). After telling her about the length of time i had been with them and teh amount i spent with then the girl said she would waive teh upgrade fee and also offer me teh P900 at the lowest she could get it - £129!
Very chuffed indeed!! Just thought i'd recount my tale so any others out ther ein teh same boat could do the same!

Did they say if they had any in stock? I've been waiting for 2 months now. when I ring them up to chase them about it they keep on saying "any time now". It is a bit of a bugger because they have them in the highstreet shops as well as the website if you are a new customer. Just not upgrades.

Thanks plastonia. Did you have to kick up a stink to get the £50 air time or did they give you it in good faith?

Actually they did say that they didn't have any stock in just now but expect some in 10 days time (probably customer-babble!).
She said that any P900's they've been getting in have only been filling back orders, so i guess they must be busy trying to keep up with demand.
I also asked if i could go to a store to pick one up, she said that wasn't possible because of different cost centres.......customer-babble customer-babble!
I'm just chuffed they ioffered me the deal and the new tarriff. Hopefully It'll take a couple of months then i'll bust they're
b@lls and see if i can get one free!! WooHoo!!

I hope they sort out the stock levels soon. It does detract the excitment of getting a new phone plus part of my monthly bill goes towards paying for a phone I have already paid off many months ago. If it does take you the same time it is taking me then the generosity of them waiving the upgrade fee seems less generous.

With £120/month call spend, you should get any phone you like for free. If they won't do that, take the pac and go somewhere else that will.

Only waited a week and a half ptm76!!! I ordered mine around the same time as you (mid-feb) and I'm still waiting! I should hassle them to see if I can get the £49.99 cost waved (upgrade).
