I've tried everthing, and no p900 PC connection through cable.
imesh, reinstall, other forums, new drivers, spyware and adware installations, turning off norton, nothing works.

Its shattering to see so many new functions on the forums and not being able to even install crappy ringtones from the cd given with the phone.

Anyone with any ideas, desperate.

Ive tried setting up the modem manually, however, not sure on how to use it as a dial up?

any assistance would be very very appreciated.

Have you tried these?

1. Uninstall the firewall, then after uninstall re-install PC Suite
2. Use a direct USB connection not one from a hub
3. Use the latest version of pC Suite
4. from Control Pnale Phone Monitor Enable the COM port used by PC Suite
5. If using XP, ensure SP1 and SP2 are installed

4. enabled and changes settings a 1000 times.

Did you say you had imesh installed? Didn't someone post something a while ago about how there connection was being hampered by imesh? Perhaps I am imagining this, but I think I recall his. Worth a try anyway.

Thank you again for your help,
I'll try the latest version of Pc suite and hope that works.
never had imesh installed, have read the other posts, and have used the adware and spybot to fix any spyware.

If you tried everything previouly suggested then it sounds as if it is a hardware problem. If possible try to connect anoher P900 or even a P800 using your sync station. If you find that the other device connects then you should get your P900 replaced under warranty, as the fault is likely to lie with it. If this isn't possible I would get your sync station replaced as it should still be under warranty.

try this
go to mycomputer/ view system information, a dialog box will open with system properties then go to hardware/ devicemanager/ports (com &lpt)
if you click on + sign (ports) it will open the tree and there you should find SEMC dss- 20 syncstaion, now put pc suit cd in the cd drive and right click on dss-20 syncstation, then update it. i hope your problem will be solved.
in many cases after istallation of pc suit dss-20 syncstaion is not listed under Ports
in these cases connection icon will not appear, just find out where it is listed under device manager. then update it by puting cd in the cd drive as explained above.

DHIRU

i actually downloaded more recent drivers from the SE website and installed them. My device manager has "SEMC DSS Syncstation (com3)" in it, unfortunately that didnt resolve the issue.
thank you for assistance.

I dont think it is a hardware problem, as the phone connection link moves when i connect the phone.
