Still new to the world of cellulars...

Got a T610 and in trying to enter birthdays and other anniversaries, got a bit confused! Do I enter them as an appointment or as a task? And whats the difference between the two?

Also, I've read about the absence of the annual reccurrence capabalities oif the T610. Does this limitation still exist... I mean even with the newer firmwares? Wonder if the SE people are aware of this.

Cheers

I always add it as an appointment, u have it there as 'aniverssary' so they thought about it as app not a task-Also, i don't mind about the non-reccurence as i don't keep my phones more than a year usually ( half a year is more likely) ..just copy it onto the new hone when i get 1.
I have a R1L013 T610 , i don't know about newer.

Thanks for that reply 701 .... was thinking of bumping the post this morning when I saw your reply

The T610 is my first phone (and I'm 37 plus)! Its just that I have this timex watch of mine that lets me enter the actual birth date in the software and when its time, pops in a reminder. This way, I know the actual date/year of the Birthday/Anniversary and how many years have passed since. I think my wife's Nokia has this too.

Wonder if there is some kind of Application (Java) that could manage this.

A pity basics are left out of the SE ... after a lot of pressure from my wife I finally agreed to get myself a mobile and then told her that an SE was far better than the Nokia. I now am faced with absence of basic features and above all, a pretty bad reception compared to her Nokia.

Cheers anyway

@Paparazzi:well, usually these phones( older ones too) have this thing of reminding u every year but not this one.As i said, just reset it everytime pops up that is that guy's b-day and u won't foegt it.I enter his name and date of birth with the year too so i'll know how old he is.It's just a gimick and i am sure they fixed it in the upgraded soft or they might will soon.
Java? Don't know about that but it would be pretty useless these days when all the phones have a calender function.
